Worst traveling luck.
For some reason my flights like to be delayed, rerouted, you name it. I was already hitting 4 airports today by choice (well kinda) with my travel schedule. Due to bad weather in Austin I’m getting to experience the coveted and hard to attain 5-airports-in-one-day status.

Mom and I walked into Teavana because they had some delicious tasting tea as sample. It was a blend of 2 teas and they sold us the canister, etc. We got a pound of loose leaf tea leaves and one canister. The total (with a 10% discount) was $77!!!!!!! I think we almost had a heart attack when she rang it up. In what world do tea leaves cost a small fortune?! We are going to drink like kings until the damn leaves run out.

Sean had a birthday last Monday. Instead of wanting to go to a birthday dinner out with friends, he really really just wanted me to make him a steak. Why you might ask? Because I haven’t the slightest clue how to*. In fact, approaching the meat counter at a grocery store terrifies me. He gave me an opt out the day of saying I could just get it from a restaurant if it was too much. But I decided to accept the challenge.
I knew I wanted to do some kind of topping. I found this recipe for bleu cheese topping and went with it. At the meat counter I asked for delicious steak I could broil (my cooking confidants decided grilling with coals would be too much for me and all I had access to was a broil pan. My first time broiling anything!) and he suggested the most expensive meat they sold. Of course I went with it, and it ended up being an awesome decision.
The actual cooking process wasn’t as bad as I expected. In fact Sean commented on how good a job I was doing appearing calm. When in fact, it was pretty painless. He of course said the steak was so amazing. I thought it tasted pretty damn good myself. I finished feeling accomplished, albeit a bit worried. As he said himself “Now you’ve proved you can do it!”.
*Ok this doesn’t count when I’d get the cheapest cut of beef in college, “marinated” it with $1 meat tenderizer seasoning, and basically fried it on the stovetop.

Very interesting article about the importance of your 20s. I can definitely relate to the unemployment/ taking longer to find a job out of college part. So thankful I’m not dealing with that anymore!
