Wow. They just mentioned the Drafthouse in Austin on Heroes season 1. Definitely didn’t catch that the first time around!
To clarify...
The shoes in this post aren’t as crazy as some of you may be thinking. They are actually dance shoes. In high school, we used to call them babies. Apparently now they are called undeez? Kids these days….

Unsolicited, and strange advice from the car wash.
Woman sitting beside me on the couch waiting for her car: Don’t ever have kids. They’ll just grow up to be teenagers.
Me: Yep that’s usually how that works.
Things I will always, ALWAYS pay someone to do:
Wash and vacuum my car. Bet you thought I was going to say cook. Well that is definitely second on my list. But especially with all of Mr. Leo’s hair all over my car, it’s basically the most miserable task in the world.
My Great Aunt
A couple of weeks ago, some family and friends went to the Alamo Drafthouse theater to see my Aunt Marty (Martha Hyer) in a movie. Sometimes they play older movies, and they happened to play one she was in, Some Came Running.
It’s a film from 1958 starring Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. I really enjoyed the movie overall, though I thought it dragged on just a bit. Although she never had...

Reason # 2 billion that I love Tumblr
I know I’m lazy on that one, sorry guys. BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS! I think the last 5 books I’ve read have been suggested by Tumblr, and I’ve never been let down. I’ve liked some more than others, but really have enjoyed all of them.

Fancy Macaroni
So I had been dreaming of this recipe since a fellow Tumblr posted it a while back. I think I would check on the recipe every week or so to make sure it was still on the Internet. So last night, when Sean and I were trying to decide what to make, I brought this up. And really, who can say no to this? The cheese! The onions! The bacon!
It was a bit more labor intensive than it looks, but well...
thetalkinghead asked: Virtually all mammals have belly buttons. All placental mammals have umbilicals. The mammals that do not are more interesting. You have your monotremes like duck billed platypus which lay eggs, and marsupials which care for the young in a pouch, like kangaroos. I researched this once I got Clementine. Even crazier than dogs and cats though, wales, dolphins, sea lions, etc.
Fun fact of the day:
Dogs have belly buttons. I’m not 100% sure how this question came up, but after some quick googling, I found this out. The site said it’s sometimes hard to find their belly buttons, but I’m pretty confident Leo’s has been accounted for.
thrueyesofarunner asked: My brother ended up not going to the show as better plans for his evening came up.
In other news, I light up with a smile when I see people go back and 'Like' my recent (but not "today" recent) posts...that my content is actually worth staying up-to-date on. So thanks. Hope your weekend rocked!

Google to Launch Groupon Competitor →
Wow, if this is true, that’s a big FU to Groupon from Google. It would be interesting to see if they could get the adoption. Although almost everything Google touches turns to gold, Groupon has been around a lot longer and already has the adoption.

Woah.
Which celebrity is your pet?
During my research for this question, I asked Sean for help. He sent me the link to this quiz. I really don’t agree with my results though. They said he was Al Gore!!!
Editor’s note: Apparently Sean filled out the same quiz and got Johnny Knoxville…. so Leo is a hard partying, tree hugger?
katie-mac asked: Answer my question, bitch.
katie-mac asked: Who does Leo remind you of?
wedaj replied to your post:It hasn’t even been 6 months since I finished the series Heroes….
I haven’t watched a SINGLE episode! I wonder if it’s on Netflix.. hmm.
YES it is!!! That’s how I got hooked originally.
It hasn't even been 6 months since I finished the...
And I’m rewatching the whole series. I forgot how much I missed/loved this show.
Also file under: I realize how sad this may sound.
A Piece of Cake
I finished this book recently. It’s a wonderful book, but not for everybody, Don’t be fooled by the name, author’s name (Cupcake Brown) or front cover, this book is heavy stuff. It’s about a woman who has literally been to hell and back. She’s been through the loss of a mother, abuse, sexual assault, foster care, gang member, and addicted to every drug out there. At...
El Arbol
For those of you unfamiliar, El Arbol is an Argentine restaurant here in Austin. Since I love all things Argentine, I’ve been wanting to go since it opened. We finally got around to going a few weeks ago, and I’m sad I’ve waited this long to go!
The restaurant has 3 different levels, but it seems to be known for the extensive patio seating. The patio is around a huge,...
