Eyelashes
I’m kinda obsessed with eyelashes. I have been for years. I know most guys, and maybe some girls don’t understand it. I just think they can make a women look so beautiful for something so simple. I used to wear fake eyelashes on a pretty regular basis. I had my eyelashes permed twice. Now an eyelash perm is different than extensions. They just put teeny tiny rollers on your eyelashes...

Ok maybe no one thought that. They told us yesterday we were no longer allowed to drink on the Kickball field, until they worked things out with the city (the horror!). My roommate asked if I wanted a Gatorade and vodka concoction since she was making one. I obviously said yes. Apparently we were out of vodka. Those will haunt my dreams.
Downside of working downtown on East 6th now:
Pile of vomit on the sidewalk on my way into work.
Sidenote: To non-Austinites, east 6th is college bar street.

I get immense pleasure from saying the word puggle. I seriously smile inside (or outside) every time I say it. I can’t think of another breed that I get such a kick out of saying, so I guess it’s a good thing Leo is a puggle.

Celebrations.
Sean surprised me on Friday for our anniversary with a room at the new W Hotel in downtown Austin. They really treat you like royalty when you stay there. It was perfect.
The room was gorgeous, although this picture really doesn’t do it justice.
We had a great view of Town Lake from our room.
When we walked downstairs for dinner, he had a horse and carriage waiting...
My first day of my new job is tomorrow!
And I feel like a little girl going to her first day of school all over again!
So I checked the forecast for the next 2 weeks.
And the highs are in the 70s across the board. PLEASE tell me the cold weather is behind us. I’m just a Texan and I really can’t handle anymore cold weather.

I was SO excited to see this movie. I’d heard a lot of buzz and was really hooked by their previews. It promised that “you won’t believe what happens the last 30 minutes of the movie”. Well maybe it was over-hyped, but I could believe it. In fact, what I thought...

Valentine's day dinner
We had gone out to dinner on Sunday night, so for Valentine’s day we stayed in and cooked. Sean found a recipe for steak and a bleu cheese and onion sauce (cheese and onions? Sign me up!). Here’s the scene. You’re on a messenger system at work. You’re chatting with a co-worker, asking them a question or getting information. You close out the conversation with a “Thanks!” and they reply with “np” or “yw”.
I mean really?! Are you THAT busy you can’t type you’re welcome or no problem? I find it hard to believe...

From now on I'll be ordering my steaks medium.
I know this may sound like a random piece of information to share, but to me it’s a big deal. Less than 2 years ago I was ordering them well done. When I lived in Argentina (beef capital of the world) I would even order them well done. I told them I wanted them “quemado” (burned) to get the point across. I’m sure it broke those poor little beef-loving chef’s hearts.
