I'm finally realizing why seasons are so...
It’s October in 3 days. We’ve had many days of 3-digit temperatures (including today) and a cool front coming that will take our highs down to the mid to low 90s. I’m reminded of a children’s book my parents used to read us. The child in the story wishes that every day could be Christmas. Like any good children’s book, it ends with a moral. People get so tired of...

Family conversations
My dad is telling us about a Britney Spears video he’s about to play for us.
Mom: Is it that one song of hers you like so much? Dad: No it’s not Womanizer.
Just a typical evening in the McNasty household. Dad jamming out to Brit.
Of course the day I take a half day at work we...

First world problems at its finest
Forgive me as I have a major FWP moment. In downtown Austin we had this magical place called Union Park. If you went at 1am you’d go to the Boom Boom Room. This is where you went late in the night when everything is already a blur. The walls were lined in velvet and the room is dark and sweaty. People would just be drunk and dance like maniacs on tables or wherever they could find. As my...
Camera suggestions
So my newish camera died on me :( I need a new camera. I’m not look for a super fancy one, but I do want a point and shoot that takes EXCELLENT pictures night and day. I’m willing to spend a little money on a nicer one if it’s worth it.
So does anyone have any cameras they love and would suggest??
Anybody ever heard of Joe Klein?
Apparently he wrote the book Primary Colors . Anyways he just walked in our office with camera crews. They’re doing a Times article on Austin startups? I’d never heard of him or the book but pretty cool!

Yep it is the same organizer! C3 Presents. I’m thankful for the upgrade from plastic wristbands!
Truthful Tuesday
What the what is all this Missoni for Target crap? If it wasn’t for Tumblr I wouldn’t have had a clue. Target’s website is STILL DOWN! I understand their a designer…. but can someone explain the big deal to me? Not saying I would never purchase something from their line but I’m sure as hell not getting on Ebay and paying $300 for a carry on from Target.
I just...

Lessons in being friendly...
And why you shouldn’t do it. People around my apartment complex are very friendly. Everyone always says hello and what not. Yesterday a guy said hi and our dogs were playing for a bit. He told me about some trash run that was going on in Austin that was going to be free food, drinks, etc. I said (to be nice) “Sure I’ll look at the website”. He asked if I wanted him to text...

I won fantasy football this week!!!
Omg I am sooooo excited! Last night I had one player left (Reggie Bush) and needed 11 points to win. I was actually able to watch the points that led me to win in real time*!!! I kinda love this whole fantasy thing now that I’m winning… I wonder how long this will last.
*Let me be clear. I wasn’t watching the actual game. I was watching the points on my fantasy app change....
It's really annoying when...
Different locations of a store don’t share information across them. Take Petsmart for instance. I’ve groomed and attended puppy kindergarten at one location, boarded at another, and will board at a 3rd soon. Every time they have to take down my name, address, vaccination records, dog’s stats, etc. It’s all electronically entered, so why in the world can you not make my life...

Fall is in the air
Despite the 100+ degree temps in Austin for the last month, in the mornings when I’m outside before 8am I can feel the slightest coolness in the air before hell sets in a couple of hours later. That is how I know the end is in sight. Even if it will still be another month. And yes I’m jealous of everyone in the country that has started to experience fall so far. It’s my favorite...
