Baltimore restaurant musings
Bear with me as this is not the world’s most exciting post. But I’m traveling alone and have half an hour to kill before my client meeting.
I just had lunch at a local seafood place in Baltimore. First strange thing, I asked for a baked potato and all they brought with it was sour cream. This is very strange compared to what they usually bring out in Texas - butter, chives, bacon bits, sour cream, and shredded cheese. So I asked for some shredded cheese and he said ok and took the potato. When he brought it back they had cut it open and melted the cheese on the potato. Why? I have no idea. The woman beside me asked melted butter for her potato so maybe people here like things melted for them?
Secondly he brought the check and there was no tip line. I looked closer and realized the tip was included. Huh? For a table of one? And there’s always a place to leave extra tip if gratuity is already included.
So any Baltimore (or around this area) people want to chime in. Is this normal? Is this restaurant just an anomaly?
P.S. Sorry again for the lame post!
