So this weekend was a big wake-up call. I am WAY too behind on pop culture/music. I mean I don’t mind not knowing every single thing that happens, but when Sean’s mom knew more of the songs at the wedding reception than I did, and when I kept having to say “Who’s that? She dated HIM? They got married?!” throughout the entire weekend, I thought it was time for an intervention.Enter Sean who suggested I get a subscription to People. He thought it’d be good for my pop knowledge, and accused me of being too plugged into the blogsphere (guilty!). So I bought a copy at the airport, read it all the way through in like 30 minutes (yay easy read!) and already felt more informed. Oh and this whole situation was validated when we were reading a “Quick news” page and there were about 10 different short pop news stories and Sean knew 7 of the 10 and I knew one. That basically sealed the deal.
