This mall is absolutely ridiculous in the worst kind of way. But it is full of memories. And poor, sad, pathetic people.
(P.S. David this is in the amazing town of Lake Jackson, TX approximately one hour south of Houston.)
Mcnasty and I spent the better part of yesterday afternoon walking around our hometown mall. I must say that the experience was both nostalgic and depressing. The Brazos Mall of the past represents our youth and happier times. The Brazos Mall of today confirms the cliche, “growing up blows.”. Not a cliche you say? I say not yet a cliche.
Our poor mall has been reduced from a mediocre, smallish, 1970’s decor-sporting tween hangout to a skanky, smallish, early 2000’s ugly carpeted black hole of depression with a big effing movie theater. I think the mall officially began sucking when Gadzooks moved out and The Great American Cookie company moved in.
