A Piece of Cake

I finished this book recently. It’s a wonderful book, but not for everybody, Don’t be fooled by the name, author’s name (Cupcake Brown) or front cover, this book is heavy stuff. It’s about a woman who has literally been to hell and back. She’s been through the loss of a mother, abuse, sexual assault, foster care, gang member, and addicted to every drug out there. At times the book was so hard to read, I had to put it down. It is tough to read the things she’s been through, and know that people actually have to go through things like that. I enjoy reading memoirs, and addiction in general fascinates me, so I truly enjoyed this book. If any of this is interesting to you, it’s a fantastic read, with an ultimately happy ending!
